How do I become part of Express Entry?

Creating an online profile starts the process. Then, candidates are placed in a pool until they receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from IRCC. After receiving an ITA, you have 90 days to complete the rest of your online profile and upload necessary documents. IRCC’s current service standard means that you can obtain permanent residence within about 6 months of submitting your profile.

 

Invitation to Apply (Express Entry): The Next Steps

Candidates in the Express Entry pool who receive an Invitation To Apply (ITA) for permanent residence have only 90 days to submit a complete and accurate e-application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Extensions will not be granted.

A successful e-application must include a range of supporting documentation, depending on your personal credentials.
